Bimzelx (bimekizumab) is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis.

The active substance in Bimzelx, bimekizumab, is a monoclonal antibody, that targets interleukin-17A (IL-17A) and IL-17F. High levels of these interleukins are involved in developing inflammatory diseases caused by the immune system.

By attaching to these interleukins, bimekizumab prevents them from interacting with their receptors within the body, which reduces inflammation and improves the symptoms related to these diseases.
