Briumvi (ublituximab-xiiy) is used to treat relapsing or primary progressive forms of multiple sclerosis (MS). It is used in patients with active disease, who have relapses and/or signs of active inflammation on scans.

The active substance in Briumvi, ublituximab, is a monoclonal antibody (a type of protein) that has been designed to recognize and attach to a specific target called CD20 on the surface of B cells (a type of white blood cell). By targeting B cells, ublituximab is thought to stop white blood cells from entering the brain and spinal cord tissue, thereby reducing inflammation and the resulting nerve damage.
