Cinqair (reslizumab) is used as an add-on to existing asthma maintenance therapies when asthma symptoms are not adequately controlled with other medications.
The active substance in Cinqair, reslizumab, is a monoclonal antibody designed to attach to receptors called interleukin-5 receptors on the surface of eosinophils. By attaching to interleukin-5 and blocking its activity, Cinqair reduces the number of eosinophils in the blood and lungs, reducing inflammation and resulting in a reduction in asthma attacks and improvement of symptoms.
What It Treats

Cinqair is most often prescribed by Pulmonologists.
How it’s Administered
