Kisunla (donanemab) is used for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, a progressive and degenerative brain disorder that affects memory, thinking, and behavior. Kisunla may help clear amyloid plaques, abnormal clumps of protein in the brain that are a characteristic of Alzheimer’s disease which build up in the brain over time and may lead to the loss of brain function. By removing these plaques, Kisunla may slow the progression of the disease and improve cognitive function.
