Reclast (zoledronic acid) is used to treat osteoporosis in postmenopausal women at elevated risk of fractures. Osteoporosis is a condition characterized by low bone mass and poor bone structure, which makes bones fragile and more prone to fractures. By impeding bone resorption, Reclast contributes to the preservation or augmentation of bone mineral density, offering improved structural support and a decreased likelihood of fractures.

Beyond its use in osteoporosis management, Reclast is utilized for the treatment of Paget’s disease of the bone, a condition characterized by abnormal bone remodeling. Reclast plays a crucial role in regulating bone turnover, fostering healthier bone structure, and addressing the specific challenges associated with Paget’s disease.
